Help Thou Mine Unbelief
By Anthony Smith Help thou mine Unbelief. Our most Gracious Heavenly Father. Your word tells us that we are to put you in remembrance of your word, being faithful servants to the ministry of Jesus Christ, your Son. We know Father that you are able to deliver us from all manner of hindrances and troubles, Illness and disease. This is your word Father; Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me. Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. This is your word Father; And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. We will Glorify you in these times of troubles and for your merciful aid. In Jesus name we Glorify you, for thou are worthy. Show us your mercy Father in these times of troubles. I believe Father, help me with my unbelief. Amen. Faith is many different things to many different people. We have those that have faith in man, those that have faith in their money and the money of others. We also have those that have faith in their family and last but not least those that have faith in God. We live by faith and even sometimes die by it also. As my mother lays in a hospital bed, maby dieing, I see faith in God. Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. With faith we receive hope. Hope in things not yet realized, not yet seen. To believe is to turn loose of everything that we see and know as reality. Belief is not based on those things seen but of those things not seen. As with Thomas in the scriptures. Webster says that belief is; A creed; a form or summary of articles of faith. A persuasion of the truth, or an assent of mind to the truth of a declaration, proposition or alleged fact, on the ground of evidence, distinct from personal knowledge; as the belief of the gospel. A persuasion of the truth. Paul stated about persuasion; For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We are Convinced that by faith, all things are possible. We are induced to believe that God can promise anything and, is able also to deliver upon these promises. We are influenced by the concept that, God exist and that Jesus being His Son, convinced us that all things are under Gods control. If we can accept this idea of an all seeing, all caring God, then we can ask anything in the name of Jesus, and it will be given unto us by the Father. Who then is a son of God? All that believe in His Son and those that are willing to believe in Him. If you are willing to accept the good things from God and also, the chastisement from Him, then you are a son, but if you are not willing to accept His chastisement then you are a bastard and not a son, this according to His word. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Mar 9:24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. We are convinced by a declaration of a truth, on the ground of evidences, from the scripture, that Gods word is true. We see many proofs in todays world that show us, the Bible is factual. Diggings and archaeological evidence point to the truth. But our faith and belief in God, is not tied to physical proof, but rather a proof of thethings that we do not see, but feel in our spirits. For without faith it is imposable to please God. You can tell a blind man that the sky is blue and the grass is green and he will accept this as truth. Why? Because others have also told him about the things that he cannot see, and their testimony turns your account of these facts into truth for him, which he will accept. So then why cannot we believe in a man, a Son of God, that we have not seen but only have heard about from many witnesses? Luke 12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? So then why cannot we believe? Romans 4:20-21; He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Mat 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. I believe Father, help me with my unbelief. Our unbelief comes from not being fully persuaded in the truths of Gods promises. Doubt comes in and faith goes out. This is the way of the world, but it should not, and can not, be the way of a Christian. For we are in the world, but not of the world. You can see God feed the sparrow and cloth the rose in brilliant pedals, but cannot you believe that He will also cloth you and feed you? Cannot you believe, that as God makes the beast of the field and the bird of the air healthy, He cannot or will not keep you also in the times of distress? For I have seen the miracles of God, and I am fully persuaded that all things are under His control. Even with all this faith, we still are human, and must go on to perfection. Working on our faith, hope and trust in God. Paul also told us to do the same thing. I believe Father, help me with my unbelief. I have seen trees die over night, and roses come upon a dead plant. I have seen the dead raised, and the lost saved. I have seen the seas roar out of their banks, and great earthquakes where none has been. I have seen a child born from a dead womb, and a Child raised up to change the world with twelve men. I am fully persuaded, I have believed in the unseen things and still live. When man says, it cant be so, I believe. When they say, it will not live, I still believe. Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD. Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. Ars.
